I strongly believe that every person has a limited number of pages that they can read for recreation in their lifetime. That has been my experience, at least.

Before the age of 12, I had read no less than 50 books. These were not children's books. They were not stories. They were tomes. They were volumes upon volumes of theology, literature, science, history, and fiction (including all of the works of Khalil Gibran).

So, I am not going to stand here and pretend that I am still the same bookworm I once was, or that the fifth page of any book I'm reading is easily within my reach, uninterrupted by an impromptu nap or a sudden urge to do a chore that has been loitering on my to-do list for months.

But, in those fleeting moments in which I read, I found myself enjoying these titles, and I hope you do too.
