Who am I?
I was born in Beirut, Lebanon to a lower-middle class family. Very early on, my parents realized the importance of education in improving my chances in the world and enrolled me in a school that taught English as a second language. With both of my parents' being French educated, I had to learn my lessons in school well enough to be able to teach them to my mother who helped me with my homework when I got home.
At the age of 16, I went on my first adventure, not knowing that it would change my life forever. Having been selected to take part in the Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES, at the time), I flew to the United States to spend an academic year studying in a US high school and live with a US family.
Living in the US as an outsider (although I was never made to feel like an outsider) made me discover my place in the world. It was because I was thrust into a "representative" position that I found my interest in international relations and diplomacy. After receiving the MEPI Tomorrow's Leaders Scholarship to study at The American University in Cairo, I enrolled in the Political Science program and specialized in international relations.
During my undergraduate career, I had the privilege of taking part in several conferences, trainings, and workshops on social entrepreneurship, community development, active citizenship, leadership training, and more topics than my memory allows me to retrieve. Having seen the benefit that I gained from these experiences, I decided to become a trainer, myself, so I can transfer the knowledge that I had gained to those around me and in my network.
The story goes on, but I don't want to hold you up. If you'd like to know more, please feel free to come back and scroll through the rest of my website when it's done.
Thank you for your time!
